Once you call into Coffey Bros. Moving, our moving coordinators will discuss all starting options and what is best in your particular scenario. Since our administrators are well trained and competent in both communication and customer service, they will answer all questions you have and prepare you for your move.

Our moving crews have extensive training as moving specialists before coming into your home. All of our moving technicians have at least three years’ experience in the field. The supervisor has five years’ experience in the industry of moving families both across town and across the state. We also use equipment that is up to all standards and safety regulations, including our trucks and vans. Coffey Bros. Coffey Bros. Moving provides you with the latest and most up-to-date consumer guides of the area you are moving to. We have listed most utilities in the Illinois area including electric, gas, water, cable, and internet. Our guide contains area schools as well as shopping in your new area including grocery stores, hairdressers, shops, and restaurants. You will also find information on forwarding your mail among other services with the United States Postal Service. Also included in our consumer guide are area hospitals and healthcare in your new location including primary care offices, dentists, eye doctors, and urgent care centers.

Moving with children can be tricky. We want to make their experience both enjoyable and fun without disrupting their schedule too much. Have children get involved in the move. Have them label boxes for their room. Important items to remember when moving with kids is to set up their room first once in the new location to give them a sense of security and familiarity. Do not pack up their favorite toys or snacks; make sure these are within reach when your little one is feeling anxious. Depending on your child’s age, make sure they have their electronic game or music with them and that they are fully charged. Also, make sure you have extra batteries available. Be sure to make up a duffel bag or backpack with essential items for your child including pajamas, nightlight, toy, blanket, and toothbrush/toothpaste. Try and keep the child’s usual routine and schedule in place once in the new home.

It is vital that you stay organized and energetic regarding the move. Our moving coordinators will help you accomplish this. Together you will create an inventory list that will show how much is to be moved from one location to the other. Items you will be transporting in your vehicle will not be on the inventory list. You will be given contact information for your special coordinator to ask questions at any time throughout the process.

Our lead supervisor will arrive at your residence at your scheduled start time or slightly earlier. The overseer will introduce himself to you and your family. He will construct a timeline of the day allowing for you to make any special requests and to ask any relevant questions. He will then direct the team to their respective areas for your move. After everything has been packed, loaded, and your destination reached, Coffey Bros. Moving team will unload all of your belongings and arrange your furniture to your liking and per your instructions. Labeled boxes will go to their respective areas in your new home.

Once your belongings are unloaded and put in the correct rooms, the team at Coffey Bros. Moving will double check with you to verify that everything has been completed up to your standards before they leave for the day. Once we have finished the job, we are still available to you. You can contact your moving coordinator at any time with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have.
